How to Get Involved with Portland Reclaiming

Portland Reclaiming is comprised of a large number of people, each of whom is involved in different ways with different parts of the organization. We hope that you'll find one or more ways to become active with us.

Hands of the Mother is the public ritual planning cell. The group offers public rituals at each of 8 holidays during the year. Click on Upcoming Classes & Events to check the date and location of the next ritual. Once you have attended a Hands of the Mother ritual, you are eligible to volunteer at a future ritual. Click HERE for information on how to become a public ritual volunteer.

We are a cluster of local Reclaiming witches who use activism, magic, ritual, laughter, and good communication to help create a better, more livable world. The Cluster offers shared leadership, rituals and spellworkings, and provides many opportunities for involvement. Visit the Magical Activism Cluster page to learn more. We also have a discussion board for magical activists to plan and share information.

One good way of meeting others and getting some training is by taking a class or workshop offered by members of PORTAL, the teaching collective of Portland Reclaiming. Workshops may be a single afternoon, while classes or other forms of training may run from several weeks to a year in length. Click on Upcoming Classes & Events to check on the latest offerings.

If you would like to hear from Portland Reclaiming about eight times a year with listings of upcoming rituals, events, classes and workshops, the email list is for you. This list is private, and is not shared with any group or organization outside Portland Reclaiming. To join the email list, click HERE, or send an email to Web_Geek@portlandreclaiming.org

In January 2001, Portland Reclaiming launched a bulletin board called "Reclaiming Tradition NW Groups." This online discussion group is for anyone who identifies with the Reclaiming Tradition, and who is interested in finding or forming a study group, circle, or coven, or just generally wants to talk with others about magic and ritual. This Yahoo Group bulletin board permits you to receive individual emails, a daily digest, or to read messages on the web. There is also a calendar, a chat room, and a place to post photos and website links. The group has over 130 members. To join this group, click HERE. Also be sure to check out the bulletin board for the Magical Activism Cluster (see above).
